Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the hosted Algorithm personal-productivity workspace.

Using Algorithm

You may use Algorithm for lawful personal planning, focusing, reading, journalling, exercise planning, and reminders. You are responsible for the content you enter, the files you choose to open, and maintaining suitable exports or backups of important information.

Accounts and guest workspaces

Guest continuity depends on browser storage and exported backups. A Gmail account may be used for private synchronisation. You must not attempt to access another person's workspace, interfere with the service, circumvent access controls, or use Algorithm to distribute unlawful or harmful material.

Google Drive

Google Drive integration is optional and limited to files or folders you select through Google Picker. When you mount a folder, Algorithm may create and update an annotation sidecar in that folder. Anyone with access under the folder's sharing permissions may be able to read it. You may unmount folders or revoke Algorithm's access through your Google Account. Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's applicable terms and policies.

Your content

You retain responsibility for and any rights you hold in your content. You permit Algorithm and its infrastructure providers to process that content only as needed to provide the features you request, such as synchronisation and reminder delivery.

Availability and warranties

Algorithm is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be interrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, no warranty is made that Algorithm will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable as the sole record for critical medical, financial, legal, safety, or scheduling decisions.

Suspension and changes

Access may be limited or revoked to protect users, comply with law, or respond to misuse. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with an updated effective date.
